I absolute love the look of succulent gardens. I’ve been toying with the idea of making one of my own for a while now. The Problem is that I am horrible at keeping plants alive. I didn’t want to spend time and money creating a beautiful terrarium only for it to die a short time later.
One day while browsing the isles at Hobby Lobby, something I have a bad habit of doing. I came across faux succulents and realized I could use those to create a maintenance free faux succulent garden!
The best part about this faux garden is that you can use items that you already have around your house to create it! You can use vases, old fish bowls, or in my case three IKEA planters that had been sitting in my garage gathering dust. I also happened to have some decorative rocks left over from another project which I added to the planters.
I decided to go with a few different succulents in varying sizes and color which I was able to get on sale for $10! Don’t you just love the sales at Hobby Lobby!!
You can create this maintenance free Succulent Terrarium in three easy steps
Step 1. Add rocks to your containers
Step 2. Cut off the stems of the succulents.
Step 3. Arrange your succulents in the container
It’s that simple!
For $10 and about 15 minutes of your time, you can have a beautiful maintenance free succulent terrarium!
